Today Queen Letizia of Spain visited the Campus of IESE in Madrid to deliver the second edition of the “International Friendship Award” to four Chinese business leaders.

The awards recognize the business trajectory of Chinese leaders to the global business, through investment and the creation of employment in China and in the Exterior with aim to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of entrepreneurs to social progress, and to promote entrepreneurial spirit across the world.

Each year the Chinese government awards prizes to 50 foreign experts in different areas, while in certain anniversaries, up to 100 people are rewarded. In total, some 1249 foreign professionals from 67 countries have received the “Friendship Award” since 1991.

Upon arrival, Letizia was received by the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Spain, Director of IESE and Professors.
