Ending the wait, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today released the official photographs of Prince Louis’ Christening. The Little Prince was christened on Monday, July 09th at the Chapel Royal of St. James Palace.

Portrait photographer Matt Holyoak was the official photographer at the christening of Prince Louis. The official photographs were taken at Clarence House following the service in The Chapel Royal.

Talking about his experience the talented photographer said he was “truly honoured” to be asked and “to witness at first hand such a happy event. Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure. I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs.”

The couple has released 4 photographs that were clicked at the Morning Room and Garden of the Clarence House, the official residence of Louis’ Grandfather Prince Charles of Wales.

The official photographs contain a picture of Mother and Son in which Little Louis looks adorable and calm in his mother’s arms. Duchess has such a look of love and pride that it makes you emotional just looking at the picture. We got many moments like that during the christening itself but it was a treat to see the official portrait with such motherly love.

In one picture the 12-weeks old Prince is surrounded by his family including Grandparents Prince Charles, Duchess of Cornwall, Michael Middleton and Carole Middleton, Uncles and Aunt.

His elder brother Prince George is giving a cheeky smile while his sister is looking so adorable having a look of love on her face while holding her little brother’s hand.

The Duke and Duchess also released the first official picture of the family of five. Although we saw the Cambridge family together for the first time on Monday, I believe this picture is going to be part of history.

The pictures also tells how time flies. Just last year we got this official portrait before the couple announced their third pregnancy.

Queen Elizabeth II did not attend the christening due to her busy schedule but it seems she is still part of the family portrait. Her portrait is in the background of the group photos taken after her great-grandson’s christening. In the background portrait, Queen is wearing a blue dress that matches with the rest of the family.

All the pictures were absolutely lovely and a perfect way to close a busy royal schedule in which Duchess made many appearances. You all might remember the excellent job Matt did with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s 70th Wedding Anniversary portrait. No doubt Duke and Duchess chose the portrait photographer Matt Holyoak for their special day too.

UPDATE:

On Monday giving us another treat the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released another cute photograph of Prince Louis. This time we can see the cute as button little adorable Prince with a beautiful smile on his face while he was enjoying the time of his life in his mother Duchess of Cambridge Catherine’s arms. Duchess looked equally happy in the picture with her youngest child.

One of the amazing thing that we can see int these photographs are the journey of Duchess of Cambridge as a mother. When William and Catherine introduced their first child Prince George to the world on the steps of the hospital, the new mother Catherine was looking happy, giddy but nervous. Today the Duchess of Cambridge is a happy mother of 3 kids and looks extremely comfortable in her motherhood.
