On Monday afternoon, Queen Letizia was officially welcomed by the President of the Republic of Mozambique Filipe Jacinto Nyussi and the First Lady Isaura Nyussi at the President House.
The President and First Lady offered lunch in the honour of Spanish Queen at the Palace of Ponta Vermelha that was also attended by the delegates of both countries.
During the meet, they discussed the reconstruction plans after the damages of the “Idai” and the international aid that may be required for this.
After lunch, Letizia travelled to the Technical Cooperation Office (OTC), where she toured its facilities and discovered a commemorative plaque to mark the visit.

She also held a meeting with the personnel from the Technical Cooperation Office, International Institutions, Religious Orders, representatives of NGOs, representatives of Decentralized Cooperation, personnel from the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Health. The OTC units correspond to the identification and monitoring functions of the projects and cooperation programs and other support and coordination activities for development financed and organized by the Spanish Corporation. The OTC is a vital organ through which direct contact is facilitated and channelled with partner countries, beneficiaries and counterparts in the field.
Then Queen Letizia received a representation from the Spanish community linked to the Cooperation in Mozambique, where she was able to talk with the donors and get to know first hand the problems and needs they face in their daily work.
For the second leg of the day 1, Queen chose another Spanish label. she wore a pale blue dress from Pedro Del Hierro.
Coming from label’s Spring Summer 2019 ready-to-wear collection, the dress features shirt style collars, full sleeves, a belted waistline and a slightly asymmetric hemline.
Queen paired the outfit with navy blue accessories. She once again wore blue suede Carolina Herrera slingback pumps.
And carried Magrit Hawa Clutch.
Her Bvlgari diamond and aquamarine white gold hoop earrings finished the look.
