Alexander McQueen Ivory Off-Shoulder Grecian-style Gown

Description

Catherine, The Princess of Wales, wore an ivory off-shoulder Alexander McQueen Grecian-style Gown to the 2019 BAFTA in February 2019. The bodice of the Grecian-style dress was figure-hugging with a fitted waistline before flowing into a billowing skirt. It has floral detailing on the shoulder that finished the dress in a true couture style.

The design of the gown is similar to the pink gown Catherine wore in November 2018 at Prince Charles’s Birthday dinner hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace featuring a floral motif on the shoulder and ruffled detailing.

The dress has few similarities with Alexander McQueen’s One-shoulder crinkled silk-chiffon and satin gown that retailed for $7420.

In 2023, The Princess of Wales again brought back the same gown for the same event. But this time with a re-work that resulted in the statement floral shoulder appliqué detail being removed.
