Queen Letizia of Spain today had a busy schedule. She received two audiences at the Palace of La Zarzuela in Madrid. In the morning, Queen met with the representation of the Spain Patient Forum who informed her about her objectives and activities, especially about Disease-Related Malnutrition (DRE).
The entity was established in 2004 with the aim of defending the rights of patients, their families, caregivers or volunteers. In this meeting, in addition to the objectives and activities of the entity, Malnutrition Related to Disease (DRE) was treated; a health problem of high prevalence and high costs. It affects some 30 million people in Europe and entails an associated cost of around 170,000 million Euros per year.
Later on, Queen received an audience from the Federation of Deafblind Associations of Spain created in 2012 with the objectives of representing and defending the rights and interests before the Administrations and other public institutions and deprived of deafblind people.

They informed the Queen about her objectives and activities, as well as the Helen Keller World Conference and the General Assembly of the World Federation of the Deafblind, which will be held in Spain next June.

Queen once again chose her HugoBoss camel-colored block-heel pumps and finished her looks with Atelier Swarovski Kalix Double Stud Pierced Earrings.
