Today, The Duchess of Cambridge visited Pegasus Primary School in Oxford to learn more about the work of Family Links. The charity works closely with schools nationwide to support both children and parents with their emotional health and wellbeing, with an emphasis on early intervention.

Family Links

Family Links work to empower children, parents, families, schools, and workplaces to prioritize positive emotional health, by delivering innovative, high-quality training to health and social care services, third sector organizations, schools, and universities.

The Duchess of Cambridge is really passionate about the early-years mental well-being and at the Royal, Forum disclosed how the charity works and people she met during the visits and engagements have impacted her as a mother.

Upon arrival, Catherine was received by School teachers and representatives of Family Links.

The Duchess also met a nine-month-old toddler Tilly.

During the visit, Catherine met parents to hear more about how their families have overcome challenges with the support of Family Links.

She also participated in ‘Circle Time’, an activity session that encourages students to talk about how to share their thoughts on a range of topics, how to support a classmate if they are being bullied, or how to cope with a stressful situation.

The Duchess joined a roundtable discussion with Family Links representatives on the importance of supporting families during a child’s early years.

School pupils presented Duchess with a special gift- a book of lullabies for Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the new Princess/Princess.
