On Wednesday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed the finalists of BBC One Teen Heroes Awards to Kensington Palace.
The BBC One Teen heroes awards are given to teens who have acted selflessly, inspired others or displayed courage and bravery during a tough situation. The winners will be recognized live on stage at SSE Arena, Wembley on Sunday 21st October. Click here to see all the photographs.
The royal couple welcomed the finalists that included 14 yrs old Lily Rice who is wheelchair-bound and helping and encouraging children like her to access sports.
Another teen heroes finalist is 16 yrs old Siena Castellon, the brain behind website QL Mentoring that helps students suffering from autism learn math.
For the unannounced behind the scene engagement, The Duchess of Cambridge chose a very pretty autumn-inspired dress from Whistles.
She wore burgundy Margot Spot Shirt Dress. The Polka dot dress, with its long sleeves and fitted waist, is crafted from light-weight fabric and features a shirt collar and straight flattering silhouette.
The polka dot style in burgundy colour is also available with Whistles Desiree Spot Frill Maxi Dress and Spot Print Maxi Dress.
It was the second unannounced engagement for The Duchess this week as on Monday it emerged that Catherine held a meeting of experts convened by the Royal Foundation to inform her about the “Early years” initiatives.
This week The Duchess of Cambridge also received another happy news. Her Younger sister Pippa Middleton Matthews welcomed her first child. She gave birth to her first son on Monday. I am sure George and Charlotte would have been thrilled after knowing that they got another baby in the family.
So far no official engagement has been announced for Duchess. It is widely believed that we will see both Duke and Duchess at the state banquet for the Dutch State visit on Tuesday. Prince George’s full term is till 29th. I believe the family will spend one weekend at the Anmer Hall and then in November Duchess will be back with more engagements.
