Duchess of Cambridge started 2019 with a familiar Catherine Walker Coat

Just like previous year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made their debut appearance of 2019 at the First Sunday Service of the new year with Her Majesty in Sandringham, Norfolk.

Duchess of Cambridge attended first church service of the year at SandringhamWilliam and Catherine had made it sort of a tradition to join Queen Elizabeth II along with their close friends for the very first service of the year in Norfolk, where the couple owns a beautiful residence Anmer Hall. Today they were joined by James and Laura Meade. James Meade is Princess Charlotte’s Godfather while his wife Laura Meade is Godmother of William and Catherine’s youngest son Prince Louis. The couple walked from Anmer Hall to the church with their friends.

On their way back, they greeted the members of the public who were waiting for them outside the church. The couple was laughing and joking during the walk enjoying their time.

For the first appearance of the year after 2018 Christmas Service, Duchess chose to bring back familiar pieces from her wardrobe to create an updated look. She was wearing a blue bespoke Catherine Walker funnel coat.

She first wore the coat in February 2018 on the first day of Norway visit. It seems the coat has been altered to fit Catherine’ post-pregnancy silhouette.

It seems, underneath the coat, Catherine wore LK Bennett Mortimer Green Polka Dot Silk Dress.

Catherine has the same dress in green also that she first wore in December 2018  during a visit to Evelina Hospital. The dress is still available in Blue and Green colours.

Duchess paired the coat with her Prada pointy-toe suede pumps that she debuted in 2016.

The only new element in today’s look was a new bespoke Jane Taylor headband that matched with the tone of her coat. The original design of the headband has a veil.

Catherine is turning 37 on coming Wednesday and I believe she will be marking her big day privately in London as George and Charlotte are starting their school on Tuesday so Couple will be moving to Kensington Palace on Monday. I wish her a very Happy Birthday.
