King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the presentation of the Gold Medals to Merit in the Fine Arts 2017 at Merced Palace in Córdoba.
The ceremony recognizes the people and entities that have excelled in the field of artistic creation, providing services or promoting excellent teaching, development and dissemination of art or the conservation of national artistic heritage.
The royal couple travelled to Córdoba from Madrid. Upon arrival, they were received by the President of the Junta de Andalucía, the Minister of Culture and Sports. Then King and Queen presented the gold medals to the winners.
In the end, Felipe and Letizia met the winners.
Before leaving the royal couple met with members of the public who were eagerly waiting to see them.
For the day, Queen Letizia once again chose her trusted label Hugo Boss. She was wearing houndstooth separates from the label.
She chose Hugo Riami Houndstooth Pencil Skirt with Clady Houndstooth Top. The top is described as, “A boxy top gets fresh sophistication from houndstooth checks punched up to a bold scale over stretch jacquard from Italy”. The top is available on Nordstrom for $235.
The skirt is described as, “A slim skirt gets fresh sophistication from houndstooth checks punched up to a bold scale over stretch jacquard from Italy”. The skirt is available at Nordstrom for $245.
Upon arrival, Queen was wearing a red wool coat. It was Hugo Boss ‘Catifa’ coat that was first seen in November 2015. The Oversized lapels enhance the face-framing elegance of a belted wrap coat tailored from an exquisitely soft blend of wool and cashmere. The timeless style is available in light beige as part of the new collection.
Letizia paired the dress with red Liza suede pumps from Magrit that she first wore at the National Sports Awards in January 2019.
Queen was carrying a black Hugo Boss Adrienne handbag that is a new addition to her extensive wardrobe. The €650 bag is currently on sale and is available for €325. The black leather bag has a flap closure and removable strap.
Letizia finished her look with Queen Sofia’s diamond and ruby earrings.
