This week was pretty slow on the royal front, Queen Letizia had only two engagements, we saw Duchess of Cambridge on a previously unannounced visit. Next week we will see Letizia on three occasions while we are still waiting for any formal engagement announcement from Kensington Palace.
It was reported that Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met Richard Curtis, the film director and screenwriter of Love Actually, Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Bridget Jones’s Diary this week. It seems they are working together on a mental health project.
People Magazine reported that Duchess of Cambridge attended a three-hour workshop run by Hope Virgo, an author and mental health campaigner, at George and Charlotte’s School Thomas’s Battersea this summer.
It was Queen Letizia and King Felipe’s turn for the School run. They were seen dropping their daughters at school this week. Both Leonor and Sofia attend the Santa Maria de Los Rosales school in Madrid.
Princess Leonor will attend the Princess of Asturias awards with KingFelipe and QueenLetizia for the first time this year.
With Back to Nature finally resting at its third home, it is not the end of Catherine’s journey of promoting outdoors and its benefit. She is supporting Backyard Nature launched in July. Its first mission is asking young “Backyard Nature guardians” to stop the decline of bees by helping to plant millions of wildflower seeds.
