King Felipe and Queen Letizia are leading the Nation in the difficult times when the whole world is fighting against the COVID-19 Pandemic. The couple held Video and Telephonic meetings with various authorities today from the Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid.
The royal couple spoke with the 016 gender-based violence telephone number service. Since the start of the COVID-19 crisis, the telephone service has received an increased number of inquires regarding the visitation of children of separated parents, and from victims of abuse where confinement has aggravated domestic situations. Recently, the 016 telephone number has launched a new campaign to provide emotional and psychological support via WhatsApp.
Next, Felipe and Letizia held a video conference with the directors of Commerce of Oviedo, Association that groups small and medium merchants of the Asturian capital. They had the opportunity to learn about the situation of Oviedo’s trade in a conversation with the president of the Association, Ignacio del Río; the vice president, Luis Bobes; and Paloma de Blas, from the Board of Directors.
