The little Prince Louis of Cambridge is celebrating his 2nd Birthday. To mark the day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared 4 pictures of the cute Prince in which we can see him playing around with a palette of paints while participating in a meaningful art project.
The third and the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge was born on April 23rd in 2018, and was christened on July 09 in 2018. We all will always remember the cutest pictures of Princess Charlotte holding little Louis in her arms that also marked Charlotte’s 3rd birthday. Now at 2 the young Prince is really active and demands attention. During a recent talk with the BBC Breakfast Club, Duchess said, “Children have got such stamina. I don’t know how, honestly. You get to the end of the day and you write a list of all the things you’ve done on that day.” While William joked about Louis’s habit of interfering in family calls, “For some reason, he sees the red button and he always wants to press the red button“.
To mark the day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared 5 pictures of a cute little Prince taken by the Duchess of Cambridge. Palace said, “Sharing a sneak peek of Prince Louis’s handiwork ahead of his second birthday! We are pleased to share images ahead of Prince Louis’s second birthday tomorrow, taken by The Duchess this April.“
A closer look at the artistic handiwork of young Prince. We can see that talented Prince has inherited his Mother’s love for Art. The picture shows Louis having rainbow paint across his hands that he got after giving a handprint on the paper. The hand painting in the rainbow colours is a sweet tribute to the NHS and is now on the display at the window of Anmer Hall. From People’s report,
Like millions of children across the U.K., Louis has been showcasing his artistic skills by making rainbow-coloured paintings in support of National Health Service (NHS) workers and other essential workers tackling the coronavirus pandemic across the country. One of the photos shows off his royal handprint, which he made as part of a stay-at-home art activity alongside his siblings, Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, who turns 5 next month. The royal family of five is currently isolating at their country home, Anmer Hall, in Norfolk.
You might remember that little Prince recently participated in the National Clap for the NHS event “Clap for Our Carers” with his elder siblings.
The family is staying at the Anmer Hall in Norfolk’s Sandringham Estate during the Coronavirus lockdown and we can see a hint of the large grounds in the background. The pictures were taken by the Duchess at Anmer Hall earlier this month in which the beaming Louis is wearing a blue and white checked shirt with rolled-up sleeves. Since his birth, all the official portraits of Louis have been taken by his mother the Duchess of Cambridge. Talking about Catherine’s brilliant photography, Mirror’s photographer Ian Vogler has shared his expert opinion,
He said: “Once again the Duchess has managed to catch her son at his cheekiest. The beauty of this picture is how natural and unposed it is. The trick to taking a good shot of a youngster is to have them busy doing something they enjoy while you snap the picture – this is really well composed and the use of natural daylight has really helped too.”
We can see the Prince remarkably resembles his older brother Prince George and his Maternal Grandfather, Michael Middleton. You might all remember until a few months ago he was literally a Catherine’s Mini-me. Looking at these pictures, I am sure three kids are having a fun-filled time with their parents and his birthday celebrations will be full of happiness and of course Mummy-made cake.

Gert’s Royal on Twitter noted an amusing fact that the pattern of the handprint on the paper and the paint on Louis’ hands do not match. It means Duchess and Louis did it more than one time to get the perfect shot. And another fun fact is during the whole process, Louis’s shirt remains spotless. I would never be able to do that without staining mine.
Louis’s Grandfather Prince Charles wished him Happy Birthday and shared a beautiful picture with him in which he is hugging the cute Prince. The message on Clarence House’s Twitter said, ” A very Happy Birthday to Prince Louis, who turns two today. The young Prince enjoys a hug from his Grandfather, The Prince of Wales.“

He is the Boss. Although he isn’t a baby anymore he will always be Boss Baby. I think it’s safe to say that we all love this kid. We love them all but this one is special, at least for me.

Update: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanked the public for the wishes they received on Prince Louis’ birthday and shared this one more picture where Louis had finally done what he wanted to do, paint his face in the rainbow.
In other news, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have launched corona crisis service Our Frontline – that offers round-the-clock one-to-one support, by call or text, from trained volunteers, plus resources, tips, and ideas to support the frontline community’s mental health during the challenging weeks and months that lie ahead due to the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19. The Project is a partnership between the Royal Foundation, Shout UK, Mind Charity, Hospice UK, and Samaritans. In the statement released by the Palace, Prince William said,
Over the past few weeks, millions of frontline workers across the UK have put their physical and mental health on the line to protect us all during the Coronavirus pandemic.Every day they confront traumatic situations at the same time as having to contend with their own worries about the risks to themselves and their families. That takes a real toll, and as I’ve seen for myself through my work with the Air Ambulance, without the right support at the right time the challenges they face will only be greater. Catherine and I, together with The Royal Foundation, will do all we can to support Our Frontline. This work will be our top priority for the months ahead.
The Duchess has also written a letter of support to her patronages EACH.
The next few days are going to be celebratory days for the Cambridge family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are celebrating their 09th Wedding Anniversary on April 29th which is next Wednesday. Princess Charlotte is turning 5 on May 02nd so we can expect at least one more round of family pictures next week.
