Queen Letizia of Spain brought her fast-paced royal schedule to May as well. Today, she attended the first virtual meetings on the month at the Palace of Zarzuela in Madrid. She talked to the State Representative Platform for People with Physical Disabilities (PREDIF).
The Queen learnt about the impact of the pandemic for entities and people with physical disabilities. How they are preparing a plan to adapt their activities to the scene after the health crisis that has, among other objectives, to restore normal care for people in centres and homes and reconvert activities and services to telematics systems (such as training, prevention of infections, awareness, telerehabilitation platforms to maintain shape at home, etc.).
The State Representative Platform for People with Physical Disabilities (PREDIF), is a non-profit entity of state level, which represents and carries out programs and promotes actions in favour of more than 100,000 people who have great physical disabilities. It has more than 30 years of experience through its member federations, the National Federation ASPAYM, COAMIFICOA, the ECOM Confederation and 8 PREDIFs in the autonomous community.
Then Queen and King Felipe held a videoconference with representatives of the State Digitization and Artificial Intelligence to know more about the value of the Digitization and the use of Artificial Intelligence in the period of a fight against the pandemic.
The Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence has shared with Their Majesties the main axes of the future National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and has reviewed the digital solutions developed by the Government of Spain, made available to the autonomous communities to contribute to the management of the health emergency.
