On the afternoon of September 30, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ended their tour by taking part in a public official departure ceremony at Victoria Harbour Airport.
The Harbour airport is located in the centre of the city and was a perfect place for Their Royal Highnesses to demonstrate their gratitude for the hospitality that had been extended to them over the previous week.
The eight-day long tour created so many beautiful memories and shone a light on many causes and remote parts of the country.
The family arrived at the harbour amid loud cheers and best wishes.

Thanking the host, Prince William released a statement ahead of the departure, “Catherine and I are incredibly grateful to the people of Canada for the warmth and hospitality they have extended to our family over the last week. We have loved our time in British Columbia and Yukon and will never forget the beautiful places we have seen and the many people who have been kind enough to come to welcome us in person.
We feel very lucky to have been able to introduce George and Charlotte to Canada. This country will play a big part in the lives of our children and we have created such happy memories for our family during this visit. Canada is a country of optimism, generosity and unrivalled natural beauty. I hope we have helped all Canadians celebrate what makes this country great. We will see you again soon.”
Marking the successful royal visit on his invitation, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the Government of Canada’s official gift of a donation of $100,000. The donation was divided into two parts. The first $50000 went to Prince’s Charities Canada and the second contribution was given to the Immigrant Services Society of British Columbia where Prince William and Catherine visited on Day two. The PM said, “Canada looks forward to more visits from Their Royal Highnesses, especially during the upcoming celebrations to mark the 150th anniversary of Confederation.” Canada marked 150th anniversary in 2017.

They then boarded a floatplane and had a brief tour of the southern tip of Vancouver Island before departing Canada with the Royal Canadian Air Force.
As expected our elegant Duchess of Cambridge was dressed impeccably on the last appearance. She wore Catherine Walker coat with Annoushka Baroque Pearl Drops, LK Bennett Floret Nude Pumps, Maple Leaf Brooch and Cartier Ballon Bleu watch.
The tour was planned with great precision and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge delivered it with equal glamour, royal and elegant charm. William and Catherine did not put a single foot wrong during the whole tour. The tour gave us lots of cosy moments between William and Catherine, a glimpse of parenthood and lots of iconic fashion inspirations. There were diplomatic and sartorial nodes to the hosts, many causes and issues got their fair share of the limelight. The kids stole the show whenever they made an appearance. And the Cambridge family secured the future of the Monarchy in one of the biggest realms.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s style during the tour was loved by everyone. She made 15 outfit changes during the tour.
From tailored dresses to the regal coats, the casual country looks to the glamorous evening style, the tour wardrobe was full of colours and variations.
