This Saturday, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge gave us a great surprise  –  A video of Legendary Naturalist Sir David Attenborough being interviewed by Cambridge kids – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The video was taken by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge last month in the gardens of Kensington Palace before They hosted Sir David for the private screening of his movie – ‘A Life On Our Planet’.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis had three different questions for the 94 years old broadcaster and Natural Historian, who happily answered each question. The video was not only cute but a fantastic way to make the young generation part of the very important cause and make them learn about the natural world. It was the first time we ever heard Prince Louis speaking publicly. Even Prince George and Princess Charlotte were not heard publicly this much before.

The video began with Prince George who was in his red Battersea Rugby T-shirt. Standing like a true Prince with impeccable posture, George asking Sir David, “Hello, David Attenborough. What animal do you think will become extinct next?” David answered in very articulate words,’ Well, let’s hope there won’t be any. Because there are lots of things we can do when animal are in danger of extinction”. He gave the example of mountain gorilla who was about to extinct 40 years ago and a combined effort save them.

Next came the Cute Cambridge Princess, Charlotte, wearing her school uniform. It looks like the video was shot after school. Charlotte’s question was, “Hello, David Attenborough! I like spiders. Do you like spiders too?” Attenborough was happy to hear the question and said, “I love Spiders. I’m so glad you like them”. He keeps on explaining how wonderful spiders are. I am sure, little Charlotte who loves being outdoor was very happy to hear more about the spiders.

And then came the overdose of cuteness – Little adorable Prince Louis who is not even 3 yet but had such a great command on his speech. Taking a deep breath, Prince Louis wearing John Lewis and partner Baby Organic Cotton stripe jumper (Thanks to Laura (Japanese_Ginger) on Twitter for the id), asked, “What Amimal (animal) do you like?” Louis saying amimal instead of animal stole everyone’s heart. A beaming Sir David said, “I think I like monkeys best because they’re such fun.”

The video is very cute and adorable but shares a very important message. The next couple of the weeks are going to be focused on environment and nature as Prince William will be launching the first Earth Shot prize next week. The Earth shot is being described as ‘The most prestigious global environment prize in history’. I am really looking forward to it. Earlier this week, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a video call to Kangaroo Island in Australia where they were introduced to an adorable koala ‘Grace’.
