The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge released their personal Christmas Card picture today. The beautiful picture was taken by Matt Porteous at Cambridge Family’s Country residence Anmer Hall earlier this Autumn. Sitting on the haystack in front of a large pile of logs, the Family of five is wearing big smiles with cosy sweaters. Sharing the picture on Social media, Palace said,

The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new image of their family, which features on their Christmas card this year“.

The picture, graced by Prince Louis‘ extra-wide grin’ was leaked earlier last week, when an NHS frontline worker shared the Christmas card received from Kensington Palace. The picture came with a handwritten message, “To all the amazing NHS staff. We can never thank you enough for the dedication and sacrifices you have had to make this year. We will be forever grateful“. Since then we all have been waiting for the HD version to be released. Just like the previous many family pictures, this picture was also taken outdoors.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both, love spending time outdoors and in nature. It looks like their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis took the love for nature from their parents. In 2019, when The Duchess of Cambridge designed ‘Back to Nature Garden‘ and participated in CBBC’s Children’s show Peter Pan, She talked about family habits a lot. The Duchess of Cambridge then famously said about her three children,

Yes, “rain or shine” they get “dragged outside. But it’s great, and I see it encourage creativity, confidence. Even a short amount of time 10 to 15 minutes outside makes a huge difference I think to both physical well-being but also to our mental well-being.”

Matt Porteous has been The Cambridge family’s choice of family photographs on many occasions. He was also chosen for 2018’s Christmas Family picture. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared some more pictures taken by Matt to mark Catherine’s birthday and Mother’s Day in 2020.

In 2019, The picture was leaked ahead and Palace never shared the picture. But we did get another beautiful shot of Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis taken by The Duchess of Cambridge before Christmas.

The Royal family has a long-standing tradition of sharing pictures ahead of the holiday season. These pictures are shared on the personal Christmas cards sent by the family. The thank you card that the Palace will be sending to the well-wishers, who wrote to the couple, will have another picture.

It’s been a full decade since we start getting beautiful Cambridge pics around this time of the year. Having a walk down the memory lane, I am sharing this beautiful shot from Couple’s engagement announcement photographs from 2010 and today we are looking at a happy family of five.

In the picture, Prince George is wearing a £12 Regatta fleece that is not available any more. While Princess Charlotte is adorned in Ralph Lauren Intarsia Wool-Blend Sweater. Thanks to Laura Ashworth on Twitter for the id. The sold-out sweater is described as, “Charming details like mismatched buttons, puffed sleeves, and an intarsia-knit home scene make this wool-blend sweater a keepsake-worthy piece“.

Princess Charlotte is also wearing Penelope Chilvers Mini-Me Midcalf Tassel Boot. Thanks to Lady Perky and Middleton Maven for the id. on Twitter for the id. The £259 sold-out boots from the previous season are described as, ” Our Mini Midcalf Tassel boots are made in the same artisanal way as our classic women’s Tassel boot collection, even down to the distinctive Penelope Chilvers tassels. These adorable leather boots have the warmest fleece lining, full exterior zip fastening – that makes it easy for little ones to get their feet in. The Mini Midcalf Tassel boots are an exclusive limited-edition product.

The Cambridge family’s Christmas plans have not been revealed yet. The Queen and Prince Philip are celebrating the festive season away from the big family at Windsor Castle this year due to the ongoing Coronavirus. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge might decide to be with Middleton family this year for a low-key celebration. Wherever the couple chose to spend the Christmas day this year, I am sure it is going to be full of laughter and happiness and some early mornings as kids can’t wait to open their Christmas presents.

As the children are already on school break, I do not believe any engagement had been scheduled for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the upcoming weeks. We might hear some behind the scene news these days. We all can look forward to The Queen’s annual Christmas message. I wish all of you a very happy holidays season and will leave you with this beautiful Christmas video narrated by Prince William and Duchess Catherine.
