Queen Letizia of Spain presided over closing of the XV “International Seminar on Language and Journalism” at the Yuso Monastery, San Millán de la Cogolla in La Rioja. The seminar was organized by the San Millán de la Cogolla Foundation and the FundéuRAE and was focused on scientific dissemination, specifically, the related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The seminar took place on October 5 and 6, in San Millán de la Cogolla (La Rioja), under the title “Scientific hoaxes: journalism and language as defense weapons”.
Upon arrival, Letizia stood for a group photograph.
Next, Letizia went to the International Center for Research on the Spanish Language (Cilengua) where she took her place for the closing ceremony of the seminar.
The Queen thanked the participants and said, “you provided content for a seminar that what it does is project your ideas, reflections, critical and active thinking to mark that path of evolution and progress. Even if you don’t notice it, what you have done and what you have thought about yesterday and today is important, very valuable, very useful”.
