The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge cheered Rugby teams with Prince George

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Six Nations Rugby match between England and Wales at the Twickenham stadium.  The Royal couple had been scheduled to attend today’s match since earlier this week but the weekend surprise was the presence of little Prince George who is not little anymore.

The Duke of Cambridge is the patron of Welsh Rugby since December 2016 while the Duchess of Cambridge became the patron earlier this month. Since Catherine became the patron today’s match became the highly anticipated one as the royal couple has always loved to go head-on against each other in various sports activities during engagements.

Wearing a red Ralph Lauren puffer jacket, Prince George accompanied his parents who are the patrons of two different rugby unions. It was jokingly asked many times by the royal fans what jersey kids will be wearing. Both William and George has to face disappointment today as England won the match.

 

Ahead of the match, they spoke to representatives of the RFU’s community game, including volunteers and RFU council members.  It was Catherine’s first attendance at the Rugby match in an official capacity since becoming the patron earlier this month.

For the day, The Duchess of Cambridge was wearing a new Holland Cooper coat(Thanks to Middleton Maven for the id) with what seems to be her black LK Bennett trouser, Gianvito Rossi piper pumps, and Accessorize Twisted Circle Drop Earrings

Earlier today, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sent a message of solidarity to Ukraine which is under attack from Russia. The royal couple met with the President and first lady of Ukraine at Buckingham0 Palace in 2020.  Sharing the message on social media, William and Catherine wrote,

In October 2020 we had the privilege to meet President Zelenskyy and the First Lady to learn of their hope and optimism for Ukraine’s future.

Today we stand with the President and all of Ukraine’s people as they bravely fight for that future 🇺🇦 W & C

 

Update: The Queen has accepted the Foreign Secretary’s advice that the Diplomatic Reception at Windsor on Wednesday should be postponed. The reception was scheduled to be hosted at Windsor Castle next week on March 02.
