King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain took their daughters Princess of Asturias, Lenor, and her younger sister Infanta Sofia to watch the performance of the choreographer María Pagés at the Canal Theaters. María Pagés is the winner of this year’s Princess of Asturias Awards that Leonor will present to her in October later this year.
The 16 years old heiress to the Spanish throne, Princess Leonor has finished her first year of International Baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales on June 17th and is now back home for Summer break.
Since her arrival in Madrid on June 18th (which also caused her to miss the big event in Norway), we have been waiting for her first appearance that came this weekend.
We last saw Leonor in April when she visited the Ukrainian Refugee center with her family and then attended a solo engagement in Madrid.
The family posed outside the theater for a couple of photographs. Both Leonor and Sofia chose summer styles. Leonor was wearing a Dándara shirt dress with pink espadrilles and a Camel color bag.
Sofia chose a white floral print Zara dress that Leonor has worn previously in Mallorca with a blue denim jacket and espadrille wedges.
So far we do not have any official engagement for Leonor but in July Leonor will attend the Annual Princess of Girona Awards. Before heading back to school in Wales in the fall, The Princess of Asturias has been requested to open the Princess Leonor Theater by the town council of San Javier, in Murcia. We might see her undertaking one or two more official engagements in July before the family heads for summer break at the end of the month.
