The King passed away at the age of 82 earlier this week on January 10th. The Coffin of King Constantine II of Greece laid-in-State for members of the public in the Chapel of Agios Eleftherios, ahead of the Funeral at the Metropolitan Cathedral in Athens. There was a long line of well-wishers to pay their respect to the late King.
The funeral service was held at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens. After that, the late King was buried at the summer palace of the former royal family in northern Athens where Constantine’s ancestors are buried.
Despite the Greek Government refusing a state funeral, there were thousands of public members lining the funeral path.
Almost 200 guests included the Kings and Queens of Spain – Felipe, Letizia, Sofia, Juan Carlos, the King and Queen of Belgian – Philippe and Mathilde, the King and Queen of Netherlands – Willem-Alexander and Maxima, the Queen and Crown Prince of Denmark – Margrethe II and Frederick, The Crown Prince and Princess of Norway – Haakon and Mette-merit, The King and Queen of Sweden – Carl Gustaf and Silvia, Prince Albert of Monaco, Princess Anne of the UK.

For the day, Queen Letizia was wearing a black custom-made coat dress. The dress was exactly the same style that she wore in April 2022 at the Thanksgiving service for the life of Prince Philip of the UK.
Letizia kept the winter chill away with Mango Handmade belted coat. The $229.99 coat was described as, a ” Handmade oversized design made of wool and recycled polyester blend fabric featuring lapel-collar V-neck collar, long sleeve, two front pockets a removable belt and back-slit hem.”
Queen Letizia was wearing black Magrit pumps. She was carrying Giorgio Armani La Charniere Doree Top Handle Bag.
The Queen was wearing her diamond tear-up drop earrings.
Another royal jewel was her pearl and diamond brooch from the ‘Joyas de Pasar’ collection.
