The Princess of Wales will be launching The Royal Center for Early Childhood’s next milestone campaign – “Shaping Us” next week. Catherine launched the Early Childhood centre in June 2021 after a decade-long journey in her primary focus – Early Years. The Princess of Wales has been working hard to make the Early Years a social and political cause since becoming a member of the Royal Family.

Teasing the public with a small video clip, The Princess of Wales released a message on social media that read, “Our early childhood shapes the rest of our lives. #ShapingUs – coming soon with The Centre for@Earlychildhood“. Next week, there will be week-long efforts in which she will be joined by celebrities and influencers from the worlds of music, media and sport.
She also wrote an open letter in The Sunday Telegraph in which she pledged to be the champion of young children. “We all need to know the critical importance of our early childhood…Because healthy, happy children shape a healthy, happy future.”
Coinciding with the letter, Kensington Palace also released two pictures and a video from The Princess of Wales’s visit to East London’s Bethnal Green school that was not announced beforehand.
“As a society, we currently spend much more of our time and energy on later life. I am absolutely determined that this long-term campaign is going to change that.”

“I urge everyone reading this, to take the opportunity to learn more about this incredible time of life, to think back to your own childhood and how it shaped you, and most importantly, to ask yourselves what you can do to make the world a more supportive and loving place for our children.” – The Princess of Wales
The Princess of Wales’s new project is arriving just a few days later of appointing a new advisory group of 8 experts to the Early Childhood centre. Catherine met with the team earlier this week at Windsor Castle.
