“God has blessed me with Rajwa, the light of my life and my lifelong companion. May our marriage bring us both peace and warmth. I pray that God continues to bless us. Once again, my deepest thanks to everyone who celebrated with us from our beloved Jordan, as well as our family and loved ones from around the world. I could not be more thankful to God for the countless blessings He has granted me today, and to Rajwa for everything she is to me” – Crown Prince Al Hussein of Jordan on his wedding day
Crown Prince Al Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Khaled got married in an intimate and elegant Katb Al Kitab Ceremony at Zahran Palace today. The Royal Couple tied the knot in front of close guests that included Both Hussein and Rajwa’s family members, Friends, and Foreign Royals across the globe.
Prince Al Hussein is the eldest child and Heir of Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Queen Rania. Rajwa is the daughter of a Saudi Arabian businessman – Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif and his wife Azza bint Nayef bin Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Sudairi. The couple announced their engagement in August 2022.
King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah were looking proud and happy parents when they arrived at Zahran Palace to start receiving royal family members and distinguished guests ahead of the wedding. Zahran Palace is the same venue where Abdullah and Rania got married in 1999.
Queen Rania was looking stunning in a black Christian Dior gown with golden work on it that she paired with golden accessories. Thanks to Laura on Twitter for the id.

Rajwa Khaled was escorted by Prince Hussein’s younger brother Prince Hashem as per Hashemite Tradition. Sisters-in-law Princess Iman and Princess Salma were in the Bridal party.
The wedding ceremony was short and very intimate. Gathered and watched the couple exchange vows and then ring. The day was announced as a national holiday to let the public enjoy the ceremony. The diplomatic importance of today’s wedding cannot be undermined in any way. Jordan is a small Middle Eastern country with no natural resources but a perfect location. It’s a close US-Ally but for some time it has been having issues with Saudi Arabia. This wedding is not just being observed as a big diplomatic step between the two countries it also presented Crown Prince as the Future leader of the country that has had an Absolute Monarchy since its independence.
Rajwa Khaled chose a stunning Elie Saab bridal gown and flat ballerinas. She was wearing a new diamond tiara and matching earrings. Rajwa’s dress was a custom-made piece by a Lebanese designer. While her Henna Party dress featured lavish embroidery in gold on white canvas, the Wedding outfit did not have any embroidery or embellishment on it.

A closer look at Rajwa’s dress.
The back of the dress was equally dazzling.

The highlight of the outfit was the stunning asymmetrical neckline and wrapped-pleated style bodice with a body-skimming silhouette and full sleeves. The gown has a detachable train featuring intricate floral embroidery. Giving the outfit a romantic touch was an elaborated viel that again just like the gown itself did not have any embellishment on it. I am waiting for the designer to provide more details on the craftsmanship behind the gown.
Princess Bride chose a gorgeous diamond tiara and a pair of diamond earrings. The tiara was a custom-made piece by French Jewellery designer Fred. The brand confirmed upon my enquiry that they made the piece but for the time being they cannot provide more information about the Tiara or its creation process. We so far do not have any information on the earrings.

Then it was time for the wedding procession.
The newly married Crown Prince and Princess hopped on an open roof-top car that was flanked by a special convoy of eight bright red armed Land Rover vehicles and soldiers wearing Jordanian flag colours and started towards Al Husseiniya Palace where The King and Queen were hosting a reception for some 1700 guests.

There was a large crowd lining the procession route to see the Royal couple and congratulate them. Honestly, with what was being reported in the media about the Royal Family and their relationship with the public, I was not expecting many gatherings but the public happily joined the couple in celebrations.
King Abdullah II, Queen Rania, Princess Iman and her husband Jemeel Alexander, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem arrived at the Palace for the reception.
The newly married couple finished the procession route from Zahran Palace and arrived at the Al Husseiniiya Palace where they were received by King Abdullah II, Queen Rania and Rajwa’s parents. Then the couple took their stand on the reception stage to greet the guests who were not present at the wedding ceremony.
The evening was made memorable by the performances of local artists and bands. The reception concluded with Rajwa and Huseein cutting their wedding cake.
