Queen Letizia of Spain was busy with Royal Audiences at the Palace of Zarzuela today. In the morning, Queen Letizia met with the young Colombians and low-income Peruvians who will be able to go to university thanks to a scholarship from the Microfinanzas BBVA Foundation (FMBBVA). Queen Letizia is the Patron of BBVA Foundation.
During the audience, Letizia learned about the opportunity offered to them by the scholarships of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA) to improve their future and that of their families. They are the children of low-income entrepreneurs attended by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation (FMBBVA), who, despite their youth, – between 17 and 23 years of age – are an example of motivation and perseverance.
The BBVA Microfinance Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2007 by BBVA to promote the economic and social development of vulnerable entrepreneurs. Since its inception, the entities of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation have served more than 6 million low-income entrepreneurs in five Latin American countries and have disbursed $20 billion in credits.
