King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain began their Day 2 in Girona by presiding over the meeting of the Advisory Council of Princess of Girona Foundation at the Meliá Lloret Hotel in Girona. They were joined by their both daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia. Both Leonor and Sofia also met with the a group of young people supported by the Foundation.
The Family is in Girona to present the annual Princess of Girona Foundation awards this evening. Princess Leonor of Spain holds the title of the Princess of Girona as the heiress to the Spanish throne. Felipe and Letizia used to represent her at the various Foundation activities but for last few years, Leonor has started participating actively in the annual events.
Today’s meeting discussed the Foundation’s journey in the last 15 years and how the milestone anniversary is being celebrated with various events around the country. The Advisory Council focuses on researching various issues and concerns that impact the youngsters in Spain and how they can be supported in their personal and professional lives.
Setting a new Fashion milestone, Queen Letizia chose to rent a dress for the afternoon. Letizia chose an Australian brand Aje’ Linen Reflection Tiered dress which she borrowed from Spanish Clothing Rental company Lend the Label.
