The Spanish Royal Family is back in Oviedo this week for the annual Princess of Asturias Foundation Event. King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain are set to attend the prestigious awards on Friday. Ahead of the awards ceremony, The Royal Family attended the traditional pre-awards concert.
Earlier in the day, Princess Leonor attended two solo events where she was honored by the City of Oviedo and University of Oviedo. A traditional honor that strengthens the ties between the Royal Family and Oviedo. Leonor also has a personal connection to the region – apart from being the Princess of Asturias, Leonor’s mother, Queen Letizia was born in Oviedo.
The annual concert was organized at the Auditorium Palacio de Congresos Felipe in Oviedo. The family was received by the Oviedo and Asturias authorities outside the Auditorium. The event began with the National Anthem.
After the concert, The Royal Family met with the artists and performers of the group. And later on met with the guests of the evening.
