Queen Rania of Jordan joined King Abdullah II, Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein at the opening of the Parliament session in Amman. They were joined by many other Royal family members, senior officials and officers, as well as members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps in Jordan.
King Abdullah II delivered the speech from the throne. Jordan is the absolute Monarchy which means the King is the ruler and government works under his direct directions unlike Constitutional monarchy where the Monarch is the symbolic head of the state instead of being the executive head of the state.
