Infanta Sofia of Spain, the younger daughter of King Felipe and Queen Letizia, marked a milestone day in her Royal Journey. Infanta Sofia undertook her first solo engagement. Sofia attended ‘Infanta Sofia Photography Competition, organized by National Heritage’ at the Royal Palace of Madrid. The 17 years old younger Princess of the Spanish Royal Family will be turning 18 next year and this engagement marks a series of changes that we will be seeing in the future for her.
Sofia, wearing a white suit, arrived at the Royal Collection Gallery and was received by the Secretary of State for Ibero-America, the Caribbean and Spanish in the World. The event began with the screening of a video on the “Objective Heritage Awards. Photography contest Infanta Sofia.”
National Heritage has launched this competition with the aim of promoting the palaces, monasteries, museums and natural spaces it manages. The institution has recently adapted its regulations and allows, like most museums in the world, to take photographs on the tourist tours. In this way it makes it easier for visitors to take a souvenir and share it on their own social networks. The photographs of the contest, published on Instagram with the hashtag “ObjectivePatrimony,” were supposed to have as their main theme any of the monuments, natural spaces and works of art of National Heritage.
The contest was categorized in three categories: Category Palaces and monasteries, Category Works of art, Category Natural spaces. The winners included Antonio Farto, Emilie Payn, and Teresa Dorado Jiménez.
