The Princess of Wales, Catherine, joined King Charles III, Queen Camilla and Prince William for the day one of Qatar State visit. Catherine and William welcomed the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani to the UK at a private residence in London. The Royal couple then escorted the guests to the Horse Guards Parade for a ceremonial welcome where King Charles III received The Amir and Sheikha officially.
The Qatar Amir and Sheikha were in the UK for two days. Queen Camilla joined the King for a Palace event but stayed out of the Horse Guards Parade event due to her ongoing health issue. The Queen later told guests that her chest infection had been a form of pneumonia.

The exhibition showcased various elements from the history that showcased the relationship between the UK and Qatar. The exhibition was held in the Picture Gallery. The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent were also present for the Lunch and Exhibition.
