King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain are visiting Italy for three days. The Royal couple was invited by the Italian President for the official visit. On the Day 3, King Felipe had a working breakfast with a representation of Italian and Spanish entrepreneurs, at the Cardinal Gallery of the Colonna Palace. While Queen Letizia of Spain headed to the Residence of the Embassy of Spain in Rome, where she met with a representation of Spaniards working at FAO both officials and consultants.

Queen Letizia was appointed Special Ambassador for Nutrition by FAO in 2015. FAO employs a total of 273 Spaniards, of whom 82 are staff members, 114 are consultants, and 77 are external professionals. Some 150 of the total performs their duties in Italy, and the rest abroad. Combating food insecurity and malnutrition is the central mandate of FAO. This goal is directly linked to the first two Sustainable Development Goals End Poverty and Zero Hunger of the 2030 Agenda.

After concluding their day in Rome, King Felipe and Queen Letizia headed to Naples where they had the last leg of the agenda in Italy. In Naples, King Felipe and Queen Letizia met with the Italian President and his daughter at Villa Rosebery for lunch.
