King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain welcomed the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at the Royal Palace of Madrid. The official visit of the Egyptian President to Spain underlines the importance of bilateral relations.
After the official welcome, the King and Queen offered lunch in honour of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. The lunch was attended by the President of the Spanish Government as well as many other ministers and delegates of both governments.
Addressing the gathering, King Felipe said, “Time has demonstrated the solidity and permanence of that mutual commitment. During this decade our countries have worked decisively for shared peace, stability and security in a geographical and historical space that unites us and challenges us: the Mediterranean, the cradle of civilization and great melting cultures”.
