During the event, Queen Letizia presented the “More Data Cancer”, the first open space for data on this disease in Spain, an initiative that arises in the face of the need for an integrated model of knowledge about cancer, which will promote equity in the approach of the disease throughout Spain. “More Data Cancer” is the project of 24 scientific entities and patient associations that seeks to generate an integrated model of knowledge about cancer. It collects 69 indicators, organized in the six main dimensions of a person’s journey with cancer: health promotion and primary prevention, secondary prevention, early detection, diagnosis, health care, follow-up and end of life.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer and the Weber Foundation participated in the creation of “More Data Cancer”, together with an advisory group of outstanding scientific societies and patient associations. “More Data Cancer” seeks to ensure access to and integration of data to deepen knowledge of cancer, a fundamental step to address it more effectively. This will result in a better quality of life for patients, greater equity in cancer management and an increase in survival rates.
