Queen Letizia of Spain was looking effortlessly chic when she arrived at the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences in Madrid to present the 5th edition of the Royal Academy of Sciences Awards for the Young Women’s Scientist Talent. The awards are part of the combined agenda of International Women’s and Girl Day in Science, Mastercard and the Royal Academy of Sciences Foundation of Spain (FRACE).

The Academy presents the four awards to the young female scientific talent, structured in four categories recognizing young scientists who have stood out in their respective fields: Math and Allied Science; Physics, Chemistry and Allied Sciences; Biology, Geology and Sciences Affiliates; and Science applications to Technology. Each award is endowed with 2,500 euros.

Queen Letizia took to the center of the stage and presented the awards to the winners of this edition. After the award ceremony, Letizia met with the winners and heard about their life experiences and their journey in the fields of Science.
