King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain inaugurated the 44th International Contemporary Art Fair-ARCOmadrid at the IFEMA-Madrid. The international art event which has been organized since 1982, remains one of the most important art fair in Spain. The ARCOmadrid fair is being organized from 5 to 9 March 2025 in the IFEMA-Madrid fairground (Pavilions 7 and 9). The event is one of the staple schedule of Royal calendar.

This year’s event will have the Amazon as a central project.. The program curated by Denilson Baniwa and Maria Wills, in collaboration with the Institute for Postnatural Studies, Wametisé: ideas for a slur, will reflect on new ways of creating that represent hybrid stocks between human, plant, physical and metaphysical bodies. The 2025 edition presents artistic content with the General Program galleries, as the main axis of the Fair, selected by the Organizing Committee. In the curated sections, Opening, New galleries will be present designed by Cristina Anglada and Anissa Touati and the project Perfiles . Latin American Art, curated by José Esparza Chong Cuy, which will continue to strengthen the historical link between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.

Among the participation of Catalan galleries in ARCOmadrid will be present 16 galleries in the General Program: DNA gallery, Engels Barcelona, Bombon Projects, Chiquita Room, Ethall, Galería Alegría, House of Chappaz, Marc Dom?nech, Mayoral, Miguel Marcos, Polígrafa Obra Gr.fica, Prats Nogueras Blanchard, Projectesd, Rociosantacruz, Senda and Zielinsky. Florit/Florit gallery, based in Palma de Mallorca and L.Hospitalet de Llobregat, will also attend.This edition also has 32 Artist Projects, presented by 32 galleries, including Aldo Urbano -Bombon Projects-, Hessie -Marc Dom?nech-, Alicia Vogel -Mayoral-, Ana Mendieta -Prats Nogueras Blanchard-, Javier Inés -Rocío Santacruz- or Xavi Bou -Senda.

King Felipe and Queen Letizia toured both the pavilions and learnt about the various galleries on display. The Royal couple also held a short meeting with the organizers of the event.
