Queen Letizia of Spain made a visit to the Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Centre of the University of Granada on the occasion of the presentation of the Chair in Psycho-Neuro-Clinical Immunology, a science that studies the interaction and communication between different body systems.
The Mind, Brain and Behavior Research Center (CIMCYC) incorporates scientific staff motivated by the study of the brain, mind and individual, group and social behavior, using classic methods and innovative methodologies. It is a training and professional development environment for more than 150 people, integrated and related to regional, national and international research centres and groups. CIMCYC opened its doors in 2013, when a nuclear group of scientific staff from the Faculty of Psychology moved their teams to a magnificent place inside the Cartuja Campus of the University of Granada.
Queen Letizia met with the authorities of the center and toured the facilities learning about the center’s various projects and initiatives. Before leaving, Queen Letizia stood for photographs with the authorities and research teams.
