Today, May 2, 2025, Princess Charlotte of Wales celebrates her 10th birthday. To mark the occasion, Kensington Palace released a new portrait of the young royal, taken by her mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, during a family hike in Cumbria earlier this year. Charlotte is seen beaming in a Jack Pyke camouflage jacket and blue backpack, embracing a more casual and adventurous look. Notably, this image was captured on Princess Kate’s iPhone, marking the first time a royal birthday portrait has been taken with a smartphone.
Born on May 2, 2015, at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana is the second child of Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales. She is third in line to the British throne, following her father and older brother, Prince George. Known for her confident demeanor, Charlotte has been observed guiding her siblings during public appearances, such as reminding Prince George to bow during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral and calming Prince Louis at events.
Currently, Charlotte is a student of Lambrook School in Berkshire alongside her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis. Charlotte enjoys dancing, particularly ballet and tap and was seen on few related events with her mother privately.
