Kate Middleton wore a special brooch designed by James Porter & Son at the naming ceremony of HMS Glasgow in May 2025. The brooch made of white gold reflects the insignia of HMS Glasgow. One of the oldest jewelers in Scotland, James Porter & Son are based in Glasgow’s historic Argyll Arcade. The brooch was funded by two London livery companies, the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers and the Worshipful Company of Merchant Taylors.
