Description

The Duchess of Cambridge wore this stunning Jenny Packham Green Gown to the BAFTA 2018. The muted green flowing silk gown featuring a black ribbon on the waistline having bow details at the back was based on Lucerne Belted chiffon Gown from label’s Pre-Spring/Summer 2019 collection. The £2240 silk chiffon gown had cap sleeves and vee-neckline and zip fastening.

The gown has a similar bodice as of Ink Blue Silk Tulle GownDuchess wore during her USA visit in 2014 also designed by Jenny Packham. It seems the design of the gown is inspired by various collections of Jenny Packham. Thanks to Laura on Twitter for the id.

The gown was described on Harrods as, “Framing the décolletage with a draped V-neckline, this Jenny Packham gown exudes old-world Hollywood glamour. A stunning piece from the British label’s Pre-Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the flowing silhouette sees emerald chiffon falling in soft pleats. Highlighting the waist with a contrast velvet belt, flaunt the bow detail to the reverse with a sweeping up-do.”
