The $4560 gown crafted from silk-gazar – heavier silk with a satin face (it’s the same silk satin fabric that was used to craft Catherine’s wedding gown) was a different choice from Catherine’s regular style.

The sleeveless gown was described as,” The claretcobalt-blue and cream floral print on Erdem’s ‘Alouette’ gown is inspired by 1960s Japanese graphics. Flawlessly cut from lustrous silk-gazar, this elegant piece is fitted at the bodice and flares below the waist into a voluminous peplum skirt”.

A closer look at the print called ‘Ohana Tulip’. The dress featured angular seams, darts and inset pieces –  a truly complex piece to design.

Catherine’s gown featured front boat neckline, a vee-neck back, concealed zipper, 100% silk lining, pockets and a tiered, gathered and box pleated skirt.
