On the last day of the Scandinavian tour, the final engagements of the tour took place in the beautiful setting of Holmenkollen, the snowy hills that overlook the city of Oslo after the lunch.

In the snowy hills, the royal couples met local children waving British flags.

The royals walked through the Holmenkollen ski museum and watched a demonstration from some of Norway’s top under-18 ski jumpers.

 

In the jumping tower, former world champion Rune Velta and Skihopper Anniken Mork told the guests what to do to jump skis and how to overcome fear.

Norway has won the most Winter Olympics medals. The couple was briefed about the sporting achievements of the country.

Royal Couple enjoyed the magnificent view of Oslo from the ski.

 

The sporty Duchess was in a playful mood and threw a snowball at Prince William that he responded with a smile “It’s too cold for snowballs”.

Later on, The Duke and Duchess and The Crown Prince and Princess join a group of local nursery children taking part in an afternoon ski school session on the slopes organized by the Norwegian Ski Federation.

The Duke and Duchess took part in a number of outdoors activities with children, including roasting sausages on an open fire. They baked a simple bread mixture – called pinnebrod – wrapped around a stick and sausages.

The Duchess was in a mothering mode at slopes. She helped a little girl who slipped on the snow. As Duchess helped her at the same time another girl took a tumble. Catherine exclaimed “Oh no” before checking if she was OK and gave her thumbs up when she got back on her feet.

They also had a chat with some of the ski instructors that deliver sessions throughout the year to keep children active and engaged with the sport as well as visit the adjoining nursery.

For the last engagement of the tour, Duchess was dressed suitably for the cold outing. She was wearing KJUS Duana two-tone quilted shell down jacket.

The British couple took the time to greet students outside school. Catherine chatted about her A-levels and St Andrews. The Duchess “After school I went onto university where I met William, St Andrews University in Scotland, But I can’t complain about that being here”.
