Here are our favourite moments of the Wimbledon when we see Duchess’ reactions during the match.

The Romanian player Simona Halep becomes new Wimbledon champion after defeating Serena Williams 6-2, 6-2 with a magical performance . The Romanian tennis player wanted the Duchess of Cambridge to be present at the match she played and he wish was granted as Catherine cheered her up during the match. Duchess described the today’s match between two strong players as “incredible”.

More From Wimbledon after today’s match:

History wastes no time listening to those who speak of what is likely to happen. History heeds only those who make it happen – and in the women’s final at Wimbledon 2019, Simona Halep wrote her own name large. The No.7 seed, whose name appeared on no one’s list of likely winners before The Championships began, became the first Romanian ever to win a Wimbledon title.

She stunned Serena Williams, the Centre Court crowd and almost everyone on Planet Tennis to triumph 6-2, 6-2 in just 55 minutes, with a display so resourceful, so near-flawless that there could be no answer. Two-and-a-half long years after Williams secured her 23rd Grand Slam title at the 2017 Australian Open, this toweringly remarkable woman found she must wait still longer for the elusive 24th crown to equal Margaret Court’s all-time record.

Twelve months ago Angelique Kerber defied her here; few could envisage Halep stonewalling Williams again on the same court – yet she did. In this battle of the former world No.1s, history was written, and history was denied; and the whole was utterly thrilling.

A big smile and warm welcome for the winner.

Duchess congratulated the new champion after the match. Simona seems really overwhelmed after her big day.

Now to what Duchess wore – for the third year in row, Duchess chose Italian label Dolce and Gabbana for the Wimbledon finale. She was wearing Dolce and Gabbana Green Midi Dress.

We saw the dress in September 2016 during the second Canada tour of Cambridges.  The dress was described as, “Dolce & Gabbana’s dress was worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on a recent visit to Canada. This forest-green crepe piece has puffed sleeves, a pretty bow tie and white buttons, evocative of styles from the ’40s. We like how the stitched seams and raw Georgette trims playfully emphasize the craftsmanship”. Crafted from a silk mix crepe fabric the £2,150 forest green dress featured  a self-fastening neck tie, gold buttons and a nipped in waistline in a fit and flare silhouette with ruffled detailing on the sleeves.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, seems determined to make sure the next British Generation is a keen nature lover. A thorough and thorough country girl, Catherine has lent her support to Backyard Nature-  a UK Wide campaign helping children and grown-ups to make a real difference to the planet.

Speaking about the project, Kensington Palace shared, ” Spending time in nature can play a pivotal role in helping children grow up to become happy, healthy adults. I hope the Backyard Nature campaign inspires children, families and communities to get outside and engage with nature, wherever they live”.

The great outdoors provides an open playground for children to have fun and learn life-long skills – from balance and coordination to empathy and creativity – with their friends, their parents, their carers, or their family members – Duchess remarked.

The campaign, an initiative of Richard Walker, Managing Director of Iceland Foods, provides kids with the tools they need to protect their own patch of nature.  The aim is to build a group of young environmentalists across the UK who will protect wildlife and Nature throughout their lives and will promote the cause to the next generation.

From Rebecca English’s report:

The duchess was particularly impressed by the story of the Eco Emeralds, a group of environmentalists aged seven to 11 from All Saints Catholic Primary School in Anfield, Liverpool. The pupils took matters into their own hands nine months ago after being inspired by climate change documentaries such as Our Planet.

The Backyard Nature programme, which is also backed by charities including The Wildlife Trusts and The National Trust, is pledging to help children across the UK spend one million hours outside by inspiring them to protect the wildlife on their doorstep.

Duchess took her kids to show the gardens from where we got lovely photos and videos. Check here. Inspired from both of Cambridge residences – Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, as well as the Duchess’ Childhood and her kids life, this woodland garden is a place to retreat from the world, to play, learn and discover as well as create special family memories.

Catherine also appeared in CBBC’s Children’s show Blue Peter on  June 13, to encourage kids and families to spend ’10to 15 minutes’ playing outside as often as possible.

From Mirror’s  report:

The youngsters aged seven to 11 contacted Iceland’s managing director Richard Walker via Twitter and were invited to the supermarket firm’s head office to present their ideas, leading to the development of the campaign.

Mr Walker said: “The nation is waking up to the immediate challenge facing us – far bigger than any of the other issues being discussed in the media at the moment, the environmental crisis has huge implications for us all.

“The Eco Emeralds share my belief that the next generation needs to connect with nature and become conservation activists, and their commitment to motivating and enabling others to do this is truly inspiring.

“I strongly believe that children need to know nature in order to want to protect it, and this campaign is about supporting them to do just that.

I am really excited to see this journey of outdoor that Catherine has begun. It is a scientifically proven fact that outdoors do wonders to human mind and health. I do hope people will inspire from this journey and start spending time outdoor to be happy and healthy human beings that our society really need.

As David Attenborough said during World Economic Forum this year, “No-one will protect what they don’t care about and no-one will care about what they have never experienced” –  we need to know the nature before we step out to save it. Read more about the Backyard Nature Campaign here on its website to be its part.

During the match, kids seem to have lots of fun. George and Charlotte tried their feet at football. I am sure the kids spend lots of time outdoors playing at their home given mummy Catherine’s love for outdoors.

The show-stealer was the youngest member of the Cambridge family, Prince Louis who kept her mummy on toes.

At one moment, Louis tried her mother’s sunglasses and showed it to his young cousin Archie.

We got a glimpse inside what William keeps in his car. Well, as expected a family man’s car was full of kiddy stuff sufficient for a small picnic.

This year’s King Power Royal Charity Polo Day had significant meaning for the Srivaddhanaprabha family as they paid tribute to Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha by presenting a memorial trophy in his honour. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha – a Thai billionaire businessman was the founder, owner and chairman of King Power Duty-Free. He died in a plane crash last year. Both William and Catherine visited Leicester in November 2018 to pay the tribute.

It is an old style of the label so I believe Duchess has it in her wardrobe for a long time as we have seen her wearing the same dress in purple in August 2015.
