Queen Letizia of Spain was back to the Balearic Island where she presided over the opening of the Professional Training Course 2018/2019, at the CIFP Son Llebre in the Mallorcan town of Marratxí, Balears.

Her Majesty the Queen arrived at the Integrated Training Center of Son Llebre, in Marratxí, accompanied by the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, and was received by the President of the Balearic Islands  Francina Armengol.

The Professional Courses are taught every year in different city of Spain. Last year they were taught at Teruel. Opening professional courses is annual engagement for Queen that she is performing for many years.

The CIFP Son Llebre is an Integrated Vocational Training center created to respond to the demand and need for training and qualification in the field of dependency, the promotion of the autonomy of people and their social integration.

Queen began the visit by touring the facilities where the professional courses will be taught this year.  The main objectives of the center are to offer training to the individuals who are interested and providing professional competence.

She joined a group of students at Formentera Classroom, who were conducting a “role play” workshop. Queen’s visit also let her to experience the workshops for hospital habilitation, adapted bathroom and of kitchen first hand.

Next, Her Majesty the Queen went to the Residence of Elderly Son Llebre, which houses the practices of the students of the CIFP. She received brief explanation of the relationship between the CIFP and the Residence for the Elderly, such as internships, employability of former students and Erasmus + practices.

The day ended after a meeting with entrepreneurs involved with the practices and employability of CIFP students, teachers, students and the Center’s Social Council.

Once again keeping her look minimal and sobre, Letizia chose a white draped blouse from Hugo Boss that is part of her wardrobe for a long time.

She paired the blouse with blue and white striped pants. The label of the trouse is still unknown but it seems to be HugoBoss design with digital print.

Today Queen premiered a new pair of earrings. Giving a sartorial node to Balearic Island, Letizia chose Mallorca designer Helena Nicolau’s Prawn Gamba earrings.

Today Her Majesty the Queen Letizia of Spain received in audience from the viceregal painting commission of the National Museum of the Prado headed by the President of the Friends Foundation of the Prado Museum.

The Friends of the Prado Museum Foundation is collaborating with the National Museum of the Prado to create the viceregal art commission whose objective is the dissemination and study of this art. This project will allow these works to have the recognition they deserve inside the Museum.

The Commission will analyze the help that the Museum needs to implement this plan that includes both acquisitions and donations of work, assembly of exhibitions, research and scholarships. A summer course has already been dedicated and the Chair of the Prado will be dedicated this year.

Later in the day, Queen Letizia visited the facilities of the General Directorate of the Civil Guard, in Madrid to attend the celebration of first female corps officer entry in Spanish Army. It’s been 30 years since a woman has became a corps officer in the Civil Guard and 25 years in the General Military Academy of Spain.

Queen was received by the Minister of Defense upon arrival. The event began with a working meeting with General Director of the Civil Guard,  the Minister of Defense and the Secretary of State.

Later on a video was screened describing the role of women in Spanish Military. An Exhibition was conducted describing the life of women in the Civil Guards – “The woman in the Civil Guard”.  Before leaving Queen signed the Book of Honour.

For one of her busy day, Letizia chose a comfortable and formal look that she has worn many times during the year. She wore Hugo Boss  BOSS ‘Keili’ Collarless Blazer and the matching ‘Meili’ Skirt.

Today Kensington Palace tweeted something royal fans and royal watchers were waiting for eagerly. The Duchess of Cambridge is resuming her royal duties on next Tuesday with a visit to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden at Paddington Recreation Ground.

The Palace tweet send the twitter into frenzy. Duchess who started her maternity leave in March after a day full of engagements with Prince William was seen only handful of times during the last 6 months. The visit will officially end Catherine’s maternity leave.

Duchess’s visit to Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden aims to see first-hand the positive impact that the Forest School has on children’s emotional and physical wellbeing as she will be shown the wildlife garden and will meet children involved in exploratory and investigative outdoor activities.’

Sayers Croft is a residential activity centre based in Surrey, which is owned by Westminster City Council. It aims to involve children and the local community in the environment, providing outdoor facilities for those who may otherwise be unable to access them. In London they have worked with Westminster City Council and Ruth Willmott Associates to create a Wildlife Garden, with an edible garden area and a Forest Garden.

Catherine  will visit both of these areas and join Forest School sessions in each location. She will meet instructors and teachers  and hear about the beneficial effect of being outdoor have on children.

Even though Duchess is coming back, it is believed that the work load will not be as much as it was before maternity leave because Duchess would like to keep her focus on her young kids especially Prince Louis who is just 5 months old.

Still October will be a month where Duchess is expected to make few official appearances that may include World Mental Health Day coincides with the Mental Health Summit from October 10 to October 13, Princess Eugenie’s wedding that is on October 12, the Dutch State Visit that will take place on October 23 and 24 and Prince Charles’ 70th Birthday celebration event on October 25.

Also today Place2Be, a patronage of Duchess, announced its teaming up with Literacy Trust, that is Duchess of Cornwall Camilla’s patronage, to create free literacy and well-being teaching resources for primary schools, secondary schools and parents after a research that shows children who enjoy reading are three times more likely to have good mental well-being than children who don’t enjoy reading.
