The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine, dazzled the star-studded 2023 BAFTA evening in London. The 76th British Academy Film Awards were hosted at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Prince William has been the President of BAFTA since 2010.
Presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), the accolades are handed out for the best feature-length film and documentaries of any nationality screened at British cinemas in 2018. You can learn more about the royal involvement and Prince William’s tenure with BAFTA here.
The Royal couple returned to the red carpet of the BAFTA after three years. The Prince and Princess of Wales last attended the dazzling night in 2020 when Catherine brought her white and gold Alexander McQueen Gown from her Malaysia tour back. In 2021 the event was cancelled due to the pandemic and the couple did not attend the night in 2022.

The evening gave a short tribute to the late Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II featuring Dame Helen Mirren.
After the awards, The Prince and Princess of Wales met with the hosts of the event, award winners and attendees.
This was Catherine’s 6th BAFTA appearance alongside Prince William. She first attended a BAFTA event in the US during her first North-American tour. Since 2017 she has been attending the night every year when Prince William was in attendance.
This year, The Princess of Wales went back to her all BAFTA styles and chose to re-work one of the most dazzling looks – her 2019 Alexander McQueen Grecian-style off-should white gown.
The bodice of the Grecian-style dress was figure-hugging with a fitted waistline before flowing into a billowing skirt. In 2019, the highlight of the outfit was the floral shoulder appliqué detail.
Giving the outfit an edgy look, The Princess of Wales stepped away from her usual style and paired the gown with black and golden accessories. She was wearing a pair of $39 Zara cascading floral earrings. Thanks to UfoNoMore for the id.
The touch of the edge was the black Cornelia James Melissa Oprah gloves in velvet. The gloves had the royal fashion community divided – some simply loved the uniqueness it gave to the outfit and while some simply hate them outright.
Catherine was carrying her black Jimmy Choo Celeste Velvet Clutch
and wore her Aquazzura Fenix 105mm pointed pumps that she first wore at the world premiere of ‘No Time to Die’ in September 2021.
William and Catherine have just arrived back at Adelaide cottage after spending the week-long break with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. We might hear about some public engagements for the Princess this week.
