The Royal couple returned to the red carpet of the BAFTA after three years. The Prince and Princess of Wales last attended the dazzling night in 2020 when Catherine brought her white and gold Alexander McQueen Gown from her Malaysia tour back.  In 2021 the event was cancelled due to the pandemic and the couple did not attend the night in 2022.

This was Catherine’s 6th BAFTA appearance alongside Prince William. She first attended a BAFTA event in the US during her first North-American tour. Since 2017 she has been attending the night every year when Prince William was in attendance.

This year, The Princess of Wales went back to her all BAFTA styles and chose to re-work one of the most dazzling looks – her 2019 Alexander McQueen Grecian-style off-should white gown.

The bodice of the Grecian-style dress was figure-hugging with a fitted waistline before flowing into a billowing skirt. In 2019, the highlight of the outfit was the floral shoulder appliqué detail.

This year, Catherine had that floral shoulder appliqué detail removed and replaced with a shoulder sash tie.

The touch of the edge was the black Cornelia James Melissa Oprah gloves in velvet. The gloves had the royal fashion community divided – some simply loved the uniqueness it gave to the outfit and while some simply hate them outright.
