After Sunday’s dazzling red-carpet appearance at the BAFTA, The Princess of Wales was dressed in a smart look for a visit to the Oxford House Nursing Home in Berkshire. Catheirne’s visit was part of her initiative to learn more about the community services being provided in the Berkshire area near her new family home Adelaide cottage on Windsor grounds.

The Princess of Wales visited the Nursing home to meet the residents that included a 109-year-old resident named Nora. Catherine also met with the staff to learn about the high-quality patient-focused care work provided to the residents.
About the visit, Kensington Palace said, “Oxford House Nursing home is a family run that was established in 1980. The home provides nursing care to the current 34 residents, supporting them to live as full a life as possible and prides itself on providing outstanding levels of care delivered within a homely and comfortable environment. Oxford House also operates a domiciliary care organisation, Oxford House Community Care, which provides support to enable people in the local area to reside safely and independently on their own.”
At the Nursing Home, Catherine learned about the use of cutting-edge, interactive technology to simulate and enrich the daily lives of residents. This includes the use of an interactive sensory table which was purchased in 2020 as a creative response to the pandemic and associated restrictions, and a new interactive wall which will be used to support residents and dementia.
