Description
The Duchess of Cambridge wore Queen’s Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings first time in November 2016 at the annual Remembrance Day service. The earrings were made from 2 pearls out of the 7 large pearls gifted to Princess Elizabeth at her wedding in 1947 by the Sheikh of Bahrain. The Duchess has the earrings on loan for a lifetime.
The earrings featured a large pearl dangling from the strand of one large round diamond, four smaller diamonds, and three baguette diamonds. Queen wore them in the early years of her wedding and then earrings again made an appearance in 2015 at the Festival of Remembrance.
Since 2016 Catherine has worn the earrings on my special occasions. Most recently, The Duchess wore them at the Platinum Jubilee Thanksgiving service.
