Catherine debuted Guinea London Navy Herringbone Velvet Cuff Trench Coat in August 2019 during Church Service in Balmoral. The £525 100% wool coat features military-style metal buttons at the front, velvet and button detail at the cuffs, velvet lining at the lapels and under the collar. The coat is described as, “The coat has complementary navy blue trims to the cuffs and back. The navy blue velvet lining on the lapels ensures that the coat looks amazing when worn open. Wear it however you want – buttoned up or open and flowing – you decide.”
The label described the coat as, “The Trench is an amazing and dramatic coat, which takes its inspiration from the long straight line of a military greatcoat but with the sassy flowing shape of the ’60s maxi coat. Available in sizes 6 to 20, it is very flattering and easy to wear. It is shown here in Navy Herringbone – one of our House Tweeds, designed by us and woven for Guinea in Yorkshire in top quality 100% wool.”
