Description
The Duchess of Cambridge is a sartorial diplomat. On Royal engagements and foreign visits, she loves wearing something that will give a sartorial nod to the host. On her first foreign tour in July 2011, she gave a sartorial nod to the host country Canada by wearing Lock & Co Maple Leaf Hat in red colour.

Red is the national colour of Canada while Maple Leaf is the Emblem of the country. The red cocktail hat with a straw disk base was trimmed with round straw disk flowers and a spray of maple leaves at the top.
