Today Queen Letizia attended the inaugural ceremony of the “V Educational Congress on Rare Diseases” at the Institute of Secondary Education “Pedro de Valdivia” in Villanueva de la Serena.
The event was organized by the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) with the aim to promote a Protocol of Attention to children with rare diseases.
Queen Letizia participated in different activities.
The day started with a meeting under the agenda, “The ideal educational model in rural areas”, where mothers of three minor children suffering from Idic 15 syndrome, gave testimonies.
After the meeting, Queen Letizia moved towards the area where vocational training is being provided to the patients and family.
Today two workshops were organized under vocational training one for Commerce and the other for Early Childhood Education.

Before leaving Queen Letizia greeted the school students and the public gathered outside the school.
Leaving the elegant coats and dresses behind today Letizia chose a contemporary stylish chic business look appropriate for the meeting.
Letizia recycled her Massimo Dutti textured weave gilet that she debuted last year in May.
The longline vest features a straight cut, notch lapels, front double-breasted fastening, and two side pockets.
Queen paired the vest with Uterqüe black leather leggings.
The unconventional footwear was an amazing choice of Letizia’s look today. She wore a new pair of Adolfo Domínguez’s Mule Slipper with a medium heel. The moccasin-style slippers are made from bovine leather upper and are available at the official store for € 136.
Queen was seen carrying a black Zara bag with floral details and a long chain sling.
Her Gold & Rose white gold and diamond double dagger earrings inspired by the daggers of the Arab warriors finished the whole look.
