The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Catherine were finally seen in Balmoral. The beautiful couple joined Her Majesty the Queen for Sunday Church service held at Crathie Kirk in Balmoral. Crathie Kirk is a small Church of Scotland parish church in the Scottish village of Crathie and has been the worship place of Royal Family since the reign of Queen Victoria.
William sat in the front seat of Queen’s Balmoral while Catherine was sitting with Queen in the back seats of the car. Along with them were seen Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward and Countess Sophie with their children Louise and James, Peter and Autumn Phillips leaving after the church service.
William and Catherine spend their summer break at the country retreat Anmer Hall before coming to Balmoral last week and also had a gateway of a fortnight at Mustique in July. Duchess was seen driving Prince George with Zara Tindall, Mia Tindall and Savannah Phillips to George’s first Grouse shoot on Friday.
Balmoral Castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852, having been first leased in 1848. Every Queen retreats to the castle during summer from July to September.
Usually, William and Catherine visited Her Majesty during her summer retreat in September, but as Prince George and Princess Charlotte both are starting their school on September 06, The family of five made an earlier visit. It is believed that the family will be moving back to their official residence Kensignton Palace this week to resume the royal duties.
Coming to Catherine’s sartorial details, Duchess made an elegant come back after almost two months. She was wearing a very beautiful grey coatdress from Catherine Walker. The coatdress features soft Peter pan collars, button detailing at the front with Princess seam. The outfit has a contrast trimming of black at the collars, cuffs and buttons.
She paired her outfit with black Lock & Co hat that she debuted at the 75th Anniversary of RAF Cadet.
The notable element of her look was the Queen’s Bahrain Pearl and Diamond Drop Earrings. The earrings were made from pearls that were gifted to Princess Elizabeth on her wedding by the ruler of Bahrain. We last saw Duchess wearing them on 2016 Remembrance Day.
As per the Palace, we can expect the Duchess of Cambridge to resume her royal duties in Autumn. So we hope to see Palace announcing her engagements in the upcoming weeks.
