Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the award ceremony of the XI Call for Social Projects of Banco Santander, an initiative that aims to recognize and reward social projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people in situations of social vulnerability and help them to flourish.
The purpose of the Call is to support the social action promoted by the employees of the Santander Group in Spain, with the Bank co-financing the initiatives and projects that are selected, among those proposed by them. Among all the projects presented, the Group’s employees in Spain will select twelve winners.
The projects selected as beneficiaries of the employee voting aids will be financed through the “Euros of your payroll” Fund, constituted by the voluntary contributions of the employees, through the periodic and direct retention that, according to their instruction, is practised on your payroll.
