Today, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain held a virtual meeting with the representatives of the new creative generation of the Spanish cultural scene, especially in the literary field to find out how they are facing the situation caused by COVID-19 and what are the needs of the cultural field for the immediate future.
The royal couple talked to the many known faces in the Spanish literature field – Elvira Sastre, Jose Ángel Gómez Iglesias, known by the pseudonym “Defreds”, and Leti Sala.
Next, Felipe and Letizia talked to the representatives of the Spanish Music Industry -: David Bisbal, José Mercé and Miguel Poveda, with whom they have spoken about the impact of the pandemic and the future prospects. All three are very popular singers, with a significant number of followers in the field of music in Spain and, moreover, with a great projection in Latin America. They are also great exponents of the value of music created in Spain, a sector that has an impact of 5,000 million euros, more than 50% due to live music.
In Spain 850 festivals are held each year. Out of those 10 have an economic impact of more than 400 million euros and attract 1.6 million people. Live music accounted for a net turnover of more than 223 million euros in 2016. COVID-19 has been especially damaging for this sector by forcing the cancellation of events, festivals and performances of all kinds, leaving artists, promoters, agencies, assemblers, technical teams and the entire industry without entry.
Now to what Letizia wore – Queen was wearing a grey full sweater from her go-to label Hugo Boss. Letizia paired the top with black trousers and black Hugo Boss ‘Royal’ pointed toe Flats identified by a lovely reader.
She finished the look with her Karen Hallam ring.
